Gosforth Central shopping centre and Gosforth Playpark community group have joined forces and are thrilled to announce their plans to provide a fun-filled space for families and children.
After months of planning and fundraising they are preparing to introduce a new playpark in Gosforth Central Park, creating an exciting destination for play, exploration, and social interaction, an inclusive space for all children to enjoy together.
With £33,000 left to raise to hit the target, they need your help; local businesses can sponsor one of their forthcoming events or donate to cover the cost of a specific piece of equipment. Individuals can donate to the charity’s just giving page, no amount is too small. Every £1 helps.
Alternatively, you can purchase tickets to attend one of their fundraising events. This June sees the return of the Royalty outdoor cinema and the hilarious Three Inch Fools for more outdoor theatre. Proceeds from both events will be donated to the fund.
As a community hub for shopping, dining, and events, Gosforth Central strives to cater to the diverse needs of its visitors. The proposed playpark will serve as a fantastic improvement, offering children a safe and enjoyable environment to play, while providing families with a wonderful space to relax and connect.
The playpark has been designed with input from the community, following focus groups held in the park, ensuring that it meets the needs and expectations of Gosforth’s families. A key element for the new play area will be inclusive and accessible play with sensory items, sound items and equipment for all children to enjoy together.
Together, we can make this project a reality providing a wonderful place for children to thrive. The aim is to bring the new playpark to Gosforth this Autumn if the target is met.
Please help to achieve this goal. Every donation counts.
Gosforth Central would like to thank everyone who has donated and supported the fund so far. We couldn’t do it without your help.
