Gosforth Central is excited to announce the launch of our enchanting treasure maps, designed to inspire adventure and creativity in the heart of our beautiful community! This summer, we invite families to embark on a magical quest around central Gosforth.
We are excited to bring this magical experience to Gosforth ,” said Georgina Scott-Batey. “This initiative not only provides an enchanting adventure for families but also fosters a sense of community and encourages residents to explore the wonderful offerings right on their doorstep.”
With the aim of driving footfall to the local businesses in Gosforth and creating an enchanting trail for families this summer, local businesses Babucho, Hopscotch, Hut on the Green, Pure Knead and Gosforth Central have all sponsored the map. Our treasure map activity will guide participants on a whimsical journey filled with clues and surprises. There is a rumour that a giant snail has been spotted heading down Church Road and a colossal goat has been seen leaping over Gosforth Central! What other magical wonders await? It’s time to find out!
Maps are now available to purchase for just £4.99 at Yum Lush and The Sweety Box located within Gosforth Central, as well as at Hopscotch on Gosforth High Street. Not only will this be a fun adventure, but every pound spent on these maps will contribute directly to Gosforth Play Park Charity, raising funds for a new and improved play area. We need 1,000 treasure hunters to break the spell and raise valuable funds.
In addition to the treasure hunt, we are thrilled to announce a series of magical spell-breaking kids craft workshops at Gosforth Central! Join us for exciting activities such as “Make Your Own Wand” and “Spellbreaking Slimeology” – perfect for little wizards and witches looking to unleash their creativity.
And that’s not all! The Sweety Box in Gosforth Central will be rewarding the first witch or wizard spotted each week with a delightful prize. So, don your costumes and be prepared to see magical characters roaming the streets of Gosforth, all while helping us break the spell!
Once you’ve completed the treasure map, don’t forget to collect your certificate from Yum Lush as a special keepsake of your adventure.
